#Discover the City – London: Tea Time!

I really love the very british tradition of having an „Afternoon Tea“! Every time I am in London I try different places and locations for the tea ceremony, so I have some which I can really recommend. It doesn’t always need to be super expensive sometimes the smaller ones are really good and tasty! And a reservation is in most places needed, sometimes even far in advance. My personal tipp if you are planning something for sunday afternoons choose the lautest time slot available and make it your early dinner as it is quite filling. Also it allows you to take your time and not being kicked out for the next guests. By the way: I always wait for my favorites and keep them for the end: SCONES (without raisins) with clotted cream and strawberry jam!!! YUMMY 😋 ….

The Shard …. stunning views, great location, really romantic …. https://www.the-shard.com/news/afternoon-tea-shards-oblix-restaurant/

The Ivy City Garden near Liverpool Street Station is a really great place if you have been strolling around the Sunday Markets like Columbia Road Flowers Market, Brick Lanes Sunday Upmarket or at Spitalfield and you are looking for some rest …. https://theivycitygarden.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/14/2020/03/AFTERNOONTEA_CITYGARDEN_SPRING_2020.pdf

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson, very special and nice a bit like Alice in Wonderland! Try to get a seat in the wintergarden which is much more cosy … https://www.morganshotelgroup.com/originals/originals-sanderson-london/eat-drink/mad-hatters-afternoon-tea?utm_source=Google%20My%20Business&utm_medium=Website%20Button&utm_campaign=London

„The Wolseley“ just next door to The Ritz at Green Park. Very traditional and really good! And not too expensive … still one of my favorites! https://www.thewolseley.com/menu/afternoon-tea/

I also tried some Afternoon Teas in famous Hotels. Some are happening in the lobby of the hotel and a Piano player is entertaining, some are happening in the breakfast room. It’s also quite nice although I must confess I like the others more …
