This small little island very high in the north of Germany is really my absolute favorite place for a relaxing holiday in almost any season! Ok, if it’s really storming and it’s just miserable and raining, then you might be looking forward to a few rays of sun at some point … 🙂 I’ve put together a few tips for a great time on Sylt.
What to do – from the north to the south of the island?
- Stroll along at List Habour and some shopping at Alte Tonnenhalle
- Visit the Forces of Nature Museum
- Relax in Strandsauna Listland
- Go on a trip with Ferry Tours nach Romo
- Visit the Vogelkoje near Kampen and the other one Eidum Vogelkoje near Rantum
- Go shopping in Kampen or Westerland
- Find the various wooden sculpture from Christel Lechner which are spread around the island, some are located in Wenningstedt
- Visit the Aquarium in Westerland
- Walk on the beautiful sandy beaches
- Chill out at the beach in this brilliant beach baskets
- Visit the Sylt Museum and the Altfriesische Haus in Keitum
- Enjoy famous sunrises and sunsets
- Buy a 1 or 2 days Bus ticket and get on a trip, you can always get off and explore the area, have a coffee and continue your tour later
- Explore the different Lighthouses in List, am Ellenbogen & Hörnum
- Visit the Hörnum Habour and get on a boat tour
